Lunchbox Computer

In this week's blog post, I will be showcasing my Raspberry Pi Lunchbox Computer! This is another project alongside the Raspberry Pi Rover which I had built a few years ago, before the COVID pandemic, while I was still living in England. This is one of my favourites since the idea is from the James Bond spy movie!!

I discovered this project idea in issue 44 of the MagPi magazine and I thought it was really cool! There were some basic instructions and a list of needed parts, so I decided to create it. Just like the Raspberry Pi Rover, this build taught me a ton about hardware and software, and it really reinforced my identity of being a tech enthusiast!

After obtaining all the necessary parts which included a lunchbox (I found an old one from when I was younger), a Raspberry Pi 3, a Bluetooth wireless keyboard, a power bank and a small touchscreen I got started on assembling the laptop computer disguised as a lunchbox!

Here is my Raspberry Pi Lunchbox Computer:

Even thought this project may not seem that complex, it actually required a bit of imagination in order to fit all of the components into the not-so-big lunchbox! All in all, I had a lot of fun creating this fun little camouflaged laptop, and it served as another opportunity to learn more about the capabilities of the Raspberry Pi by implementing it in a real-world, hands-on project!
